What we do

The vast majority of children in the care system, living away from their families and networks, are cared for in foster families. Local Authorities send out information to fostering providers, summarising a child’s need for foster care.

We use this information to see if we have carers who can meet the child’s needs. It is our job to give every child the best possible experience of foster care.

We are in constant communication with our foster carers, delivering information, training, practical support and guidance. We liaise with the child’s social worker and local authority children’s services, health, education and other service providers supporting the child.
